There are various ways to connect the upper of a shoe to the midsole. The most durable and high-quality method is a stitch. It withstands heavy stress, combining flexibility with longevity and minimal weight. That’s why every Vitallo Novumline model features a stitched connection between the upper and the midsole.
By Hand
We have adapted this traditional construction method to meet the demands of today and refined it to suit the exclusive upper materials we use. Each seam is sewn carefully by hand. Only a skilled craftsperson can vary the tension of the thread in such a way that every stitch sits perfectly and the materials are joined with absolute precision.
Repairable
Hand stitching offers another distinct advantage – it’s exceptionally sustainable. Because the upper and the midsole are firmly joined, the outsole can be replaced in original quality should it ever wear out – without compromise.

Purposeful Details
A defining feature of every Vitallo Novumline model is the outsole, which extends upward at the toe, heel, and sides and is bonded to the upper. These spoilers not only give Vitallo sneakers a sportier appearance but also offer practical advantages – they protect the shoe in high-stress areas and reduce the risk of the outsole detaching from the midsole.
Inspired by Nature
The inspiration for our gecko-profile outsole came from nature. The distinctive tread design is reminiscent of the hands of these small climbing specialists. The abrasion-resistant rubber compound ensures excellent slip resistance. Combined with the hand-fitted, shock-absorbing heel wedges, this results in a truly unique wearing experience.
