In the tradition of classic coachbuilders, we craft our driving shoes with artisanal precision – without compromise. You provide the chassis – your foot. Inspired by single-seater race cars, we build a tight-fitting, functional and performance-oriented shell: the classic Monoposto or the Monoposto R racing shoe.
That said, you won’t have to sacrifice comfort or wellbeing. Every Vitallo driving shoe is bespoke – precisely crafted to fit your foot. The breathable Climatocork interior, together with our naturally tanned leathers, creates the unmistakable Vitallo feeling – and even more driving pleasure.
Hand-stitched and Ultra-light
Flexible
In shoemaking, there are various methods to connect the upper to the midsole. The most durable – and at the same time most flexible – solution is a stitch. It withstands high levels of stress and combines resilience with minimal weight. That’s exactly why we use this proven construction method in every model of the Vitallo Monopostoline.
Precise
Rooted in tradition, this technique has been carefully refined to meet modern expectations. Each stitch is set by hand with the utmost care and adapted to the structure of the exclusive upper materials. Only a skilled shoemaker can control the thread tension so accurately that every stitch sits perfectly – ensuring the materials are flawlessly joined.
Repairable
One of the key advantages of hand-stitched construction lies in its sustainability. Since the upper and midsole are firmly stitched together, the outsole can be renewed by us in original quality – should it ever wear down over time.

Dynamics and Function
Classic Lines
Inspired by automotive legends, the aerodynamic silhouette of our driving shoes pays homage to iconic race cars of past decades. The minimalist design language emphasizes dynamics and function – without sacrificing elegance. The elongated lacing section with integrated gusseted tongue, combined with the ankle-high base layout, ensures a secure fit and creates a seamless connection between driver and machine.
Large leather panels, joined by a minimum of precisely placed seams, merge with the bespoke Climatocork interior to deliver a perfect fit and a uniquely comfortable feel – appreciated by drivers around the world.
For Racers
Specially developed for motorsport use, the Monoposto R features a higher cut design. For safety reasons, the upper and tongue are extended so that the racing suit closes cleanly against the shoe. As the only manufacturer worldwide, we use vegetable-tanned leather in our racing shoes to ensure maximum skin compatibility.
Together with our Climatocork interior, this creates an ideal foot climate – even under high temperatures in the footwell of classic vehicles. All seams, laces, and padding materials are made from fire-resistant Nomex, while the oil- and fuel-resistant sole ensures optimal grip on the pedals.

Sporty driving demands precision – and a lot of legwork. Managing three pedals, sometimes simultaneously, keeps both feet constantly in motion. Vitallo driving shoes are designed to support the driver in this process. For the Monopostoline, we’ve developed a number of purposeful features that make the shoe a perfect interface between human and machine.
Ball Heel
The idea behind the hand-shaped ball heel is as simple as it is effective: a ball always maintains the same contact surface, no matter how it moves. We’ve applied this principle to our driving shoes. The result: constant ground contact at the heel and a naturally balanced foot position. This reduces strain on the lower leg muscles and promotes relaxed, controlled driving.
Spoiler
Spoilers aren’t just for performance cars. The raised sole edges at the toe and sides protect the leather in these high-stress zones. Finely crafted and hand-rounded at the edges, these sole spoilers also support precise heel-and-toe movements when needed.
