SKIN Padding
The Runnertune Black Series includes two purpose-built variants: the mid-cut X-Pace Black, designed for off-road conditions where added ankle support and protection are essential – and the Pace Black, a low-cut model ideal for runners who prioritize maximum freedom of movement. Both feature adaptive padding made from our innovative SKIN material, which conforms to the contours of the foot like a second skin – delivering exceptional comfort with every stride.
PowerMesh Functional Fabric
The upper of the Black Series is made from a material mix of breathable PowerMesh and highly abrasion-resistant microfiber fleece. This combination ensures a lightweight, comfortable feel and provides a degree of weather protection. Whether Pace or X-Pace – both Black Series models combine performance, stability, and comfort, making them the ideal choice for demanding runs on uneven terrain as well as fast-paced training sessions.

The Runnertune Black Series combines state-of-the-art technology with handcrafted precision. Each pair is made in our manufacture with meticulous attention to detail, blending traditional shoemaking techniques with innovative materials. The CNC-milled cushioning sole, made from a high-rebound EVA co-polymer, provides a balanced mix of responsiveness and stability.
Shaped by Hand
For an optimal fit, the uppers are carefully shaped over ergonomic lasts by hand. The special upper construction of the Black Series models with large material sections enables an almost seamless interior without material transitions. This minimizes the risk of blisters caused by potential friction points.
Manual Fine-Tuning
Toe and heel counters – integrated reinforcement elements – provide a secure fit. To ensure nothing presses or rubs, the edges of these reinforcements are carefully tapered by hand to adapt as smoothly as possible to the shape of the foot.

For us, that’s not just a marketing phrase – it’s something we live every day: Runnertune running shoes are made entirely in our manufacture in Hilpoltstein, Franconia, by highly skilled specialists. No outsourcing. No third-party production.
Durable, Skin-Friendly Materials
When selecting materials for our Runnertune Black Series models, we focus not only on excellent quality and long lifespan, but also on skin compatibility. That’s why we use only textiles that have been tested for harmful substances in accordance with the Oeko-Tex Standard.
Renewable Resources
The heart of every Runnertune Black Series running shoe is the anatomically shaped Climatocork iD footbed, made from renewable cork. This natural material is not only sustainable – it also gradually adapts to the shape of the foot through body heat, creating a balanced climate inside the shoe.
Recycling & Repair
The rubber and EVA scraps generated during sole production are recycled by a nearby environmental company and returned to the cycle as valuable raw materials. In addition, Runnertune running shoes are not disposable products – they can be repaired when necessary, extending their life significantly.
