What defines a shoe from the Hackner manufacture – and elevates it far beyond the status of an ordinary shoe – is not just the exceptional craftsmanship or the use of the finest materials. It begins with the way we build it. A core part of our philosophy is to unite tradition and modernity. We combine the valued characteristics of time-tested construction methods with the advantages of cutting-edge high-tech materials to achieve key product features such as low weight, high flexibility, and maximum wearing comfort.
To that end, we rely on our own construction techniques, developed and perfected over decades. Innovative components like our breathable Climatocork footbed are manufactured exclusively in-house. We also use ultra-strong carbon fiber fabrics, highly abrasion-resistant rubber compounds, and technical textiles such as tear-resistant synthetic fibers in areas subject to extreme stress. When combined with the finest leather and cork, the result is something truly distinctive and exceptional: a Hackner shoe.
