Abrasion-Resistant and Grippy
Minimal Tread – Pure Running Sensation
The Runnertune Original features a full-length outsole that provides excellent grip despite its minimal tread – while supporting a natural running motion. The key lies in the rubber blend: we use genuine rubber for the outsole. Rubber is vulcanized natural latex – a premium material that outperforms synthetic compounds in both slip resistance and abrasion durability.
Built to Last
Since we use a full-length outsole instead of gluing on isolated tread segments, the contact area is maximized – enhancing both grip and stability. This also distributes pressure more evenly across the sole, reducing localized wear. To improve durability even further, the high-impact heel zone is reinforced with a highly abrasion-resistant rubber insert called U-Tread.

Hand-Shaped
The exceptional wearing comfort of our Runnertune Original models is largely due to their construction – deliberately designed to minimize seams. Large, seamless upper sections are carefully shaped over the last by hand to provide an optimal fit.
Manual Fine-Tuning
Integrated reinforcements in the toe and heel areas of the shoe ensure structure and stability. To maximize comfort, these elements are manually tapered and precisely adjusted along the edges – reducing material transitions and minimizing potential friction points.

True Sustainability

Beyond outstanding product features and excellent craftsmanship, we place great value on sustainable and regional manufacturing. For us, that’s not just a marketing phrase – it’s something we live every day: Runnertune running shoes are made entirely in our manufacture in Hilpoltstein, Franconia, by highly skilled specialists. No outsourcing. No third-party production.
Durable, Skin-Friendly Materials
When selecting materials for our Runnertune Pace Original models, we focus not only on excellent quality and long lifespan, but also on skin compatibility. That’s why we use only textiles that have been tested for harmful substances in accordance with the Oeko-Tex Standard.
Renewable Resources
The heart of every Runnertune Pace Original running shoe is the anatomically shaped Climatocork iD footbed, made from renewable cork. This natural material is not only sustainable – it also gradually adapts to the shape of the foot through body heat, creating a balanced climate inside the shoe.
Recycling & Repair
The rubber and EVA scraps generated during sole production are recycled by a nearby environmental company and returned to the cycle as valuable raw materials. In addition, Runnertune running shoes are not disposable products – they can be repaired when necessary, extending their life significantly.
